Graduated from Cardiff University in 2011 and has spent well over a decade building Kandy Lodge Dental Surgery into DRJB Smile Clinic. His focus is minimally invasive cosmetic work, complex restorative cases and full mouth rehabilitation — preserving as much natural tooth as the diagnosis allows, not the other way round.

Early years in maxillofacial surgery, A&E trauma and community dentistry gave him a grounding in genuinely difficult cases, which is why he still takes on the complicated referrals other practices pass along.

Shortlisted two years running for The Probe's Best Dentist — 2025 and 2026 — and the Private Dentistry Awards' Best Practice Principal, also 2025 and 2026.

He is also, slowly, trying to master social media. God help us.

She takes your early diagnostic records (scans, photos, notes) before you ever see the dentist, so your first appointment is spent planning, not gathering information from scratch. Costs, timelines, options — she covers it all in plain language, before anything's underway.

Over 20 years at the practice, and there's very little left that surprises her. Hannah's often your first point of contact — gathering early diagnostic records so your dentist can start planning before your first visit, then walking you through treatment options, costs and timelines in terms that actually make sense.

With over 20 years at DRJB Smile Clinic, Angie Richardson has more than earned her place as one of our most trusted and valued team members — though whether she deserves a medal for her service, or we deserve one for keeping her, we'll let you decide.

As a Treatment Coordinator and experienced dental nurse, Angie takes your early diagnostic records before you see the dentist, then guides you through the whole process — treatment plan, finance, aftercare — always putting your needs ahead of her own.

Dr Griffin Giliker

The practice's go-to for Invisalign — hundreds of cases in, with a precise, patient-led approach to what subtle tooth movement can actually achieve. He works closely with Dr Barclay so every aligned smile has the right foundation for whatever cosmetic or restorative work comes next.

He's also the only person here who can explain bite mechanics and quote The Office in the same sentence. Patients love him. We just try to keep up.

Dr Giedre Valentine

Over 15 years' experience across the UK and Europe, with a calm, methodical style that puts even nervous patients at ease. Giedre specialises in full arch solutions, single-tooth implants and bone-preserving techniques, using digital planning for predictable, natural-looking outcomes.

She sees implants exclusively at DRJB, and welcomes referrals for implant cases from other dentists.

Dr Abdul Ghuffar

A steady hand and an even steadier demeanour — the kind of calm that puts patients instantly at ease. Abdul qualified in 1991 and completed his vocational training in North Wales before spending time as a clinical assistant in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, taking on more advanced surgical work alongside general dentistry.

He's since completed implant training at a specialist implant centre in Shrewsbury, and has a genuine special interest in facial aesthetics — botulinum injections, dermal and lip fillers — done the same way he does everything else: unhurried, and never overdone.

Our longest-serving dentist. You'll usually find him with a coffee in hand, solving life's problems one sip at a time — and, occasionally, even getting some dentistry done.

The guardian of healthy gums — patients value her gentle approach and the way she makes a hygiene visit feel worthwhile rather than a chore. Beyond the chair, she trains new nurses, runs study clubs, writes mock exam papers, and teaches radiography — quietly raising the standard for the whole team.
